Ripon Walled Garden

Ripon Walled Garden

Once part of the Bishop’s Palace, Ripon Walled Garden is home to the Ripon Community Link Charity. This beautiful and peaceful site was once a working kitchen garden and has been used and developed by the Charity since 1995 working with adults and young people with learning disabilities.

The site boasts a plant nursery, ancient orchard, woodland and new café and shop. With free admission and plenty of parking, a visit to Ripon Walled Garden is a great place to relax and explore with safe, accessible walkways and a small play area it is perfect for families and small children. We sell gardening essentials, chutneys, jams, honey and home made apple juice in the shop as well as a variety of hand carved wood gifts and crafts made by our Members.

We are open all year round so come and discover one of Ripon’s hidden gems and help to support the valuable work of our charity. Every penny spent goes back into the work we do to support and maintain the services, opportunities and care we provide for people with learning disabilities. Our core values are Kindness, Individuality and Excellence and we integrate these into everything we do.
